Stationery brand Smiggle has reached a milestone, celebrating 15 years in business this May.
The first store opened in 2003 and, as part of the Just Group of companies, has grown into 332 stores, in 10 countries, employing more than 6,000 people.
“Our swift expansion into the UK and Asia has helped introduce the brand to new fans,” says Smiggle managing director, John Cheston.
“We have averaged one store opening each week for the past three years. Celebrating our 15th birthday with 332 stores in 10 different countries is not only a huge achievement for any retailer but it more importantly reiterates everybody’s love for Smiggle.”
To celebrate this incredible occasion, the company has created a limited edition collection of 15th birthday goodies including bags, lunchboxes, pencil cases, notebooks, accessories and gadgets in two colourways, pink and gold or black and gold.
The retailer’s core philosophy has remained the same throughout the years—to inspire and develop the creative spirits of kids, with colourful, fun and fashion-forward stationery—and Smiggle’s stores and staff have made the brand a success the world over.
