It certainly has been a year of chaos and we’re constantly being bombarded with lots of ‘stuff’. It’s almost Christmas (again). What did happen and how did we get through the year so quickly?
How do we keep our equilibrium and stay true to our values and core beliefs? It’s not that simple but have faith it can be done.
Here at Anjian we explore the possibilities of tapping into the essence which is YOU. When it comes down to it, we all want the same things in life―peace, happiness, financial stability, love and a healthy, long life. Most of us also want the same for those around us.
So how do we separate ourselves from an overwhelming world? It’s simple. First we have to want to take time out and recognise what we do desire. Secondly, create the space and schedule in some time on a regular basis (be kind to yourself) and thirdly, find that object or special token which helps to remind you to stay centred for what you want to achieve.
That simple huh? Don’t worry, stick with it. You will get there. The most important thing is to remember it can be attained but the seed of desire must be present at all times.
Here is a beautiful example to keep your focus. The lotus flower– heavenly luck; to rise above worldly matters; wisdom and purity. It represents similar beliefs in both Indian and Chinese cultures. In Chinese (lien hua) it represents the knowledge that one can reach great heights of wisdom and spiritual grace from the depths of darkness and despair.
This is drawn from the fact that the beauty and grace of the lotus flower actually arises from muddy and murky waters. In Indian culture it is seen as a worthy symbol of the higher spirit rising above the mundane trivialities of human life to aspire to greater wisdom. Buddhas are often seated upon the lotus flower because of its great symbolism of purity and transcendence.
Remember, it’s a symbol. Be kind to yourself to allow the time to explore. Wishing you peace and happiness from all of us at Anjian Australia.
