This August sees the launch of the Hess Spielzeug naturals range designed by Claudia Hess, who focused on developing a range that embraces the family-run company’s love for wood and the trend in subtle and neutral colours.
Based on discussions with its customers, the company could see there was demand for a range that returned to nature. The series combines the hero of the clear wood with highlights in pastel pink, light blue and grey.
This extensive range includes a lovely selection of rattles, pram toys, rolling toys and dummy holders as well as baby gyms and mobile holders.
One of the wonderful things about the Hess toy assortment is that each one has been designed to provide educationally meaningful play.
Hess baby toys have different surface structures such as the teething grip rings that allow the baby to explore with their mouth and touch, but also relieve teething tenderness. The colourful pieces and different forms also stimulate the senses, such as seeing, so that the child is motivated to perform targeted movements and, at the same time, they are developing their motor skills.
While the Hess toddler wooden toys, on the other hand, have been created with a focus on cause and effect and further improve their fine motor skills.
All Hess toys are made in Germany under environmentally friendly conditions using only carefully selected materials and high-quality FSC Certified European beech and maple woods.
With babies and toddlers being the end user, safety is a top priority. All paints and stains are water-based and 100 per cent non-toxic and saliva-resistant. All other materials used such as strings, elastics and glues are also non-toxic and child-safe. Any metal part such as clips and bells are nickel free, all edges of each toy have been rounded off and the wood has been worked beautifully smooth so that there are no splinters or bumps. Hess toys fully comply with European and Australian Safety Standards for Toys.
