Muñecas Llorens was founded in 1995 in Onil (Spain) by Miguel Llorens. But that was not the start of its history. It was back in 1958 when his grandfather began making artisan dolls. Ever since then, a lot of dedication has gone into successfully making one of the most beloved products in the world with great acceptance.
It is a young company that has been able to modernise and grow through tradition combined with today’s developments. The key has always been its unique experience, which has been passed down from generation to generation. The dolls are fully made in Onil with a very meticulous design and the exclusive use of top-quality materials.
At Muñecas Llorens, great care is taken to adapt the toys to children’s ages and needs. Baby and child development in addition to supporting the disabled has been and is very important to the company. It received the ‘Design for All’ award for its work to create a specially adapted doll for disabled children.
Muñecas Llorens also received the micro-SME export award in 2015, from the Impulsando Pymes program in recognition for its innovation and export capacity.
Now in the 21st century, Muñecas Llorens continues to modernise without any symptoms of having lost its identity. Quite the opposite: it is a ‘dollmaker’ in every sense of the word. The creation of new lines with dolls and baby dolls in a great variety of sizes featuring different functions as well as its commitment to childhood ensures the future of its dolls, which are made ‘like those of yesteryear’ so they will last and be passed on from generation to generation.
Committed to childhood, education and learning, Muñecas Llorens creates dolls with ‘something extra’ to make them essential.
Most of the clothes, dresses and accessories are made of 100 per cent wool. The choice of fabrics of primary quality is an important part of the process and it helps us to create the collections of clothes for the babies and dolls for each new collection.
