Chris Riley is a self-taught, gifted NSW artist who now lives in the cultural hub of Brisbane’s West End after finally taking the plunge in December 2018 to make being an artist a full-time career.
Riley was a tradie, boiler maker and workshop manager before realising creating art was his passion in life. His love of native birds and animals comes from growing up in the country and exploring the beauty of his natural surroundings.
Gibson loves his work so much, the company asked Riley to design an exclusive range of bird illustrations for a new giftware range in 2020.
The images created by Riley capture the beauty and uniqueness of Australia’s indigenous birds. There is a collection of four distinct drawings in a mixture of bright colours and pastels featuring native cockatoos, a rosella parrot and perhaps the most recognisable of all Aussie birdlife, the famous kookaburra otherwise known as the ‘laughing jackass’.
These wonderful bird images feature across an extensive range of giftware that includes travel mugs, canvases, magnets, coasters and tote bags. This is a range that is sure to capture the attention of your customers for its artistic flair and beauty and fly out the door in 2020.
