FinaMill is coming to Australia
FinaMill, a handheld cordless grinder featuring interchangeable refillable spice pods, is launching down under in the next couple of months.
Founder Alex Liu is very excited about the expansion into Australia.
“The first container is leaving in two weeks so by the end of April Australia will finally have FinaMill,” he enthuses.
“I’ve been to Australia a couple of times, the food was wonderful, you’ve got the best wine. There is a lot of synergy between the US and Australia so naturally it was the right place for us to go next.
“Unfortunately, because we are so far away (in the States) we can’t establish our own office, so we decided to find a distributor (Gifts to Give).”
Launched after many years of research, FinaMill lets you grind everything from whole peppercorns to dried lemon peel to dried herbs with just one mill. One-touch on-off, you can choose between multiple colours or stainless steel and battery operated or USB rechargeable.
“Today you can make the most amazing dishes at home just by watching YouTube videos. What we are giving our customers is a very easy system to maximise the potential of the spices.”
Showcasing at the Inspired Home Show, Liu also unveiled his latest creations including the Muse, which is reengineered to grind 15 per cent faster, with 20 per cent more power and quieter by 20 decibels than the FinaMill Classic.
“The new Muse is so quiet,” adds Liu. “I find with the Classic it just interrupts your conversation when for example you are having dinner.”
The FinaMill Muse has a smaller footprint, minimalist design and sleek silhouette featuring wood-inspired trim. Available in black or white, the Muse is made with over 70 per cent recycled materials, all from PET water bottles.
Each unit comes with two reengineered FinaPods that are easier to open and close and fit into the smaller FinaMill Muse. A compact tray, also designed with wood-inspired trim, fits four FinaPods, which can be stacked for storage.
“It’s a different product all the way around, the gear box, the motor, the material used, everything about it is different,” Liu enthuses.
FinaMill also launched rechargeable versions of its battery-operated Classic collection. Available in midnight black, sangria red, soft cream, and gleaming stainless steel, the new USB rechargeable models are equipped with a Lithium-ion battery that lasts average cooks two months before needing to be recharged.
Each rechargeable FinaMill comes with two ProPlus FinaPods and a charging cord that plugs into standard power adapters.
“When we designed the latest versions we spent a lot of time making sure we are not wasting energy but use it responsibly, so they don’t use a lot of power,” he emphasises.
