Capra Designs launches new Tejo collection
Get ready to indulge in the epitome of style meets sustainability as Capra Designs introduces the Tejo range, set to revitalise living spaces.
Designer and director, Bianca Lambert, has embraced Portuguese cork as the primary material of this collection.
“Cork is a material that Capra Designs has incorporated in its products for years, but always for its functionality and never to highlight the materials warmth, texture and sophistication,” she explains.
The collection includes Portuguese cork products in both natural and smoked cork. There is a generously sized wide cork bowl, extendable arched cork trivet, multipurpose small and medium trays as well as coasters and placemats.
“The design of these products is mid-century meets retro with voluptuous curved mid-century inspired edges and retro cork material.
“Cork is the true hero of this collection. It’s a truly environmentally friendly material. Cork oak is harvested without harming the tree and the bark regenerates after each harvest, so no trees were harmed in the making of this collection,” Lambert adds.
Capra Designs was born out of Lambert and her husband Thomas’ love for their collection of plants, which required equally beautiful pots and stands. Eight years later the brand has grown internationally and beyond plant decor.
Capra Designs is committed to creating products with sustainability at the forefront.
“This collection is not about following trends; it’s about setting them and ensuring that trend is anchored in sustainable material choices.
“The products in the Tejo collection all have true versatility and seamlessly integrate into various design styles.”
