Conversation starters with Dine&Vibe
About one and a half years ago Luca Tocci and Elisabetta Marando noticed a problem at the dinner table and decided to fix it by launching their business Dine&Vibe.
“We were having dinner one night and there was a kind of silence at the dinner table and we were thinking, how can we fix this problem? What do we look at when we are having dinner? The tablecloth, so we should put some conversation starters on a tablecloth,” they explain.
The linen-cotton blend (80 per cent cotton, 20 per cent linen) tablecloth features 21 questions for basic, deeper and relationship conversations and is available in 10 colours and six sizes. It is suitable for dining rooms, picnics, tea tables and parties.
“Our goal with Dine&Vibe is to take the tech away from the table but also have some fun and keep the conversation flowing. We want to create fun, vibrant mealtimes for families across the world. Through our conversation tablecloths we bring families together.
“Our kids are teenagers and they always rush to finish dinner and go to their devices, so we wanted to create something to keep them at the dinner table and have conversations, looking for a way to genuinely connect with each other in a tech-obsessed world. I mean, we do talk while having a meal together, but we wanted to bring different conversations to the dinner table,” adds Marando.
The brand exhibited at AGHA Melbourne Gift Fair for the first time and the feedback was amazing, the duo enthuses, with buyers including boutique and giftware stores.
The tablecloth comes giftboxed and retail prices range from $159 to $199. Dine&Vibe has more products in the pipeline for 2024 including napkins and placemats, so watch this space.
