Dreamfarm wins again at the gia awards
Kitchenware and gadget brand, Dreamfarm, scored big at the gia awards on the weekend in Chicago during the Inspired Home Show, winning not one but two awards.
Continuing its winning streak, the company’s Ozest won in the kitchen hand tools and cutlery category and the Corpeel was voted best product in the kitchenware category.
Special projects manager, Cate McDermott, says that even after all this time it’s still an honour to win an award, let alone two.
“Double gias two years in a row, far out,” she enthuses. “We are so grateful that 21 years on we’re still able to surprise and delight customers with our new ideas. After all, it’s why we’re here.
“We’d love to thank the IHA for their continued support of our brand.”
IHA president and CEO, Derek Miller, says the gia winners represent the cutting-edge innovation and creativity that is driving the housewares industry.
“Product innovation is the engine that keeps the home and housewares industry vibrant and profitable,” he says.
“It is our pleasure to honour the brands and designers that continue to push the envelope and delight both buyers and consumers.”
The 2024 gia global honourees for retail excellence were also announced at the same event with the winners including Potten & Pannen – Stanek (Czech Republic), Maison Empereur (France), Kustermann (Germany), Kookx (the Netherlands) and Divertimenti (UK).
In addition, the Martin M Pegler Award for excellence in visual merchandising was awarded to Loeb of Switzerland and the gia Digital Commerce Award for excellence in online retailing was awarded to Divertimenti of the UK.
This year, 32 national gia winners from 31 countries competed on the global stage with Perth’s Granite Lane representing Australia.
Established in 2014 to fill a gap in the Perth furniture market, the store is filled with furniture and homewares complemented with Granite Line’s own designs, Western Australia-made furniture, rugs and mirrors.
