Get inspired by these Mother’s Day window displays
Do you want to do something creative and different for your store this Mother’s Day? Here I share some of my favourite window displays from around the globe.
The top image was one of our favourite window displays. We chose this display as inspiration for our own shop window as it personifies the experience of Mother’s Day. It seems to humanize the whole shopping experience.
Below is how our Koh Living shop window turned out. I left my left-brained business partner and bestie in charge while I was away on a business trip. I thought she did a great job considering she is in charge of finance and operations. I will never hear the end of it though!
Hand cream, shoes and flowers―is anything else needed for Mother’s Day? It provides simple and obvious solutions to those in a rush.
An awesome and simple window display that also personalises and humanises the Mother’s Day shopping experience. People would love this. They will stop and read the hand-written notes, just as they will stop and look at the photos. We are so going to do this one next year!
Definitely a way to grab attention! Let’s get excited and do some crazy, attention grabbing windows.
What a creative display. Some displays will take effort and money but nothing like having less money to get creative. Don’t use not having money as an excuse to not try!
Nothing like a black and white photo to help people reminisce about their childhood. This is a really simple display with a very strong message.
Another message board. Look how people stop to read the messages. People love real life stuff. Just see how popular those reality shows are on TV.
Whatever you decide to do this Mother’s Day, try thinking outside of the square. Don’t think about the money, think about the experience you want your customers to have. Here are some questions you could ask yourself:
1 What can I do to stand out from the crowd? What would make people stop and look at the window?
2 How can I make the experience more personal for my customers?
3 Can I involve my customers in the experience?
4 What would my customers like to see?
5 What message would I like in my window to get across to my customers?
