New store for top3 by design
Concept design retailer top3 by design recently launched its fourth store, this time in Richmond, Victoria, adding to its three existing stores in Sydney and Melbourne.
The flagship showroom covers an area of more than 295 square metres, making it the largest of the four retail spaces. It stocks over 200 brands including international labels such as Alessi, littala, Missoni Home, Normann Copenhagen, Snurk and See Concept as well as local brands including Dreamfarm, Orbitkey, Zakkia and Sagitine.
top3 by design is known for its unique concept where each category features three of the best items and no more, which means all products are 100 per cent authentic, says founder and curator Terri Winter.
“It’s about editing options, not limiting choice―reducing the excess that falls outside the top3 by design parameters of quality, innovation and style,” she explains.
“We stock up to three products per category, the best in the world by merit of design. Not by brand alone and not by price―by merit of their design and quality, and authenticity.”
The showroom fitout has been designed to complement the merchandise―Mondrian inspired white cabinetry, steel tubs and linear steel shelves enable visitors to see larger design pieces, showcase furniture and small collectible items in a living context. Above all, says Winter, top3 takes the snobbery out of design.
“Design should be enjoyed day to day and the showroom is set up in such a way to encourage interaction with product. The staff at top3 by design are design passionate individuals who revel in discussing the products and their merits. Questions are encouraged and mispronunciation of a brand name is of no concern here.”
The Richmond showroom is now open and located at 658 Church Street, Richmond.
