Outback Tails collaborates with young Indigenous artists for new range
Australian pet accessories brand, Outback Tails, has partnered with Warlukurlangu artists on a new collection of dog beds, collars and eco-friendly toys just in time for Christmas.
The new collection showcases a modern and contemporary take on Indigenous art with work from up-and-coming young artists Reanne Nampijinpa Brown and Nathania Nangala Granites as well a variety of other talented artists from the Indigenous community of Yuendumu in the Central Desert.
The collaboration has been in development for about six months, says Outback Tails founder, Jessica Knight, who is delighted to have it ready to launch just in time for Christmas. “I wanted to introduce some more neutral patterns to the range and also help boost the profiles of some of the lesser known younger artists at Warlukurlangu,” she says.
“Our new collection plays on neutral colour palettes that match perfectly with your home decor while giving your dog’s sleeping area artistic flair.
“Our leather and martingale collars decorate your dog’s neck with a celebration of Indigenous art and culture, and dogs just love the bright, colourful patterns printed onto our canvas desert dog toys.”
The new Warlu artists collection will be available from mid-November. Ten per cent of sales goes directly back to the artist with Outback Tails raising almost 100K in royalties for Indigenous artists since the launch of the brand in 2019.
