Just in time for Christmas, many popular as well as new Rikaro designs of lampworked glass figurines and polyresin animals are back in stock.
There are more than 25 different designs of lampworked glass figurines, where each piece is individually crafted over open flame, a traditional method that is sometimes called ‘flamework’.
The glass rod is heated in the flame of the torch until it gets very hot. When the glass rod is sufficiently heated and it is nearing its melting point, the heated part of glass rod is formed by different steel tools. Different colours are added to the figurine with some molten glass of other colours.
Hand painted polyresin animals include various birds, geckoes, cats, turtles, cats, hippos, fish, owls and more.
Each glass figurine comes gift-boxed.
