Wedgwood’s Year of the Ox ETO Tray 2021 is the second exclusive release of the company’s annual Chinese zodiac collection, following last year’s Rat Tray.
With limited production worldwide, this collector’s tray is a unique, memorable representation of Wedgwood’s iconic Jasperware and this year’s Year of the Ox celebrations.
Each piece is skilfully ornamented and decorated by Wedgwood’s craftsman at the Barlaston factory.
ETO refers to the ancient Chinese zodiac that was introduced in Japan around the third to fourth century. It was used as a way of indicating the day, month and year in symbolic form.
Also referred to as juni-shi, ‘the 12 branches’ with juni meaning 12 in Japanese.
