Herbal teas and fresh fruit infusions have become so popular they now have their very own portable, reusable drink container that makes it even easier, for those on the go, to stay hydrated.
US brand Contigo has developed an infuser that fits all of its best-selling Westloop travel mugs, producing refreshing, healthy drinks that will stay hot for up to four hours or, alternatively, stay cold for as long as 12 hours.
The Contigo Westloop travel mug features a stainless steel double wall, to provide the best possible insulation, along with a patented AutoSeal lid that ensures it is 100 per cent leak-proof and spill-proof.
It holds 470ml of liquid and is a clever one-handed design―simply press the button to sip and release it to seal. Its beautifully contoured body makes it very easy to hold.
To use the infuser, simply place tea leaves, fruit or herbs in the stainless steel basket, screw in the clip provided and then attach this to the Westloop lid. Attach the drink container and leave to steep. Once the tea or infusion has reached the desired strength, the infuser can be removed and placed in the plastic container provided for mess-free storage. All plastic parts are BPA-free.
The Westloop travel mug retails for $44.95 and the stainless steel tea infuser for $19.95. The mug is available in six colours; silver, blue, red, emerald, raspberry and black.
