The average household throws away anywhere between 25 and 30 per cent of the food and drink it purchases, mainly due to food spoilage. This universal problem has led Joseph Joseph to develop Dial, a new range of stylish stackable storage containers with datable lids, as seen at the Chicago Housewares Show.
The range of stackable containers comes with a rotating dial that enables you to record both the date and month, ensuring food never goes past its use by date again.
It includes a variety of useful sizes starting at 0.7 litres up to 2.4 litres. Perfect for leftovers or for storing raw meat or salads and vegetables.
All Dial products are freezer safe meaning they are suitable for freezing fruit for smoothies, for example, and if you fancy a quick dinner then the container bases are safe to use in the microwave.
There is also a Dial Baby range, enabling parents to store portions of pureed fresh vegetables, fruits and leftovers for their little one in the fridge. Available in a 10-piece set for six to nine months and five-piece set for eight to 12 months, Dial Baby comes with the same rotating dial mechanic on the lid and is safe for freezing too.
