When is a tea cup not for tea? J Style’s tea cups may be perfect for drinking a lovely cup of green tea, but they are more often than not used for something else.

The wide mouthed cone shape with a quirky wavy edge makes them easy to cup in your hands while sipping your favourite beverage. It also makes them a great receptacle for a tea light candle, a tiny pot plant or a stash of paper clips.

As a little dessert bowl they can be used like a ramekin to make individual steamed custards or a pretty way to serve up sorbet between courses. Fill with a tasty sauce, dip or condiments to brighten up a dinner table.

J Style has two ranges available in this cone cup shape. A colourful range of designs inspired by kimono fabrics is available with matching teapots (in case you do actually want to use them for tea) and a classic range of blue and red prints on stoneware that are always strong sellers.

Wholesale priced from $5.90 to $8.50, see the full range of beautiful Japanese patterns here.
