Miss Amara introduces Lustre and Noire, two new rug collections that channel the mood of quiet luxury through texture, tone and considered craftsmanship. From handwoven designs made from recycled PET fibres to plush, light-catching low-pile shags, each piece balances sustainability with softness and timeless appeal.
Under the direction of co-founder and creative director, Alexandra Tanya Weller, the collections reflect what she describes as ‘the era of quiet luxury at Miss Amara’—a nuanced aesthetic rooted in quality, timelessness and authenticity.
“We’re seeing a real desire for calm and tactility in the home—pieces that feel luxurious without shouting,” she says.
“Noire and Lustre speak to that shift: intentionally understated, deeply textural and quietly expressive.”
The era of quiet luxury
A design philosophy gaining momentum across fashion and interiors, quiet luxury is defined by simplicity, restraint and a deep appreciation for craftsmanship. In this context, rugs become foundational, adding texture and depth without overwhelming a space.
The Lustre and Noire collections embody this mood: curated pieces that anchor a room and bring a sense of calm, character and quiet confidence.
Lustre collection
Lustre introduces a low pile construction that offers an expressive take on texture. Featuring washed pastel tones including sage green, soft blue and warm peach, the collection feels light and contemporary. A subtle sheen elevates the palette, creating a soft, luminous finish that shifts with the light and brings dimension to the room.
Noire collection
Handwoven from recycled PET bottles, Noire is where sustainability meets timeless design. Crafted partially from recycled plastic bottles, each handloomed rug transforms waste into a soft, durable piece that mimics the look and feel of viscose, with the added benefit of being lower maintenance and stain-resistant.
“We wanted to create something that looked and felt like luxury, but was born from sustainability. Noire is that perfect marriage,” says Weller.
The collection draws from a refined palette of modern jewel tones—navy, terracotta, turquoise—softened with versatile neutrals like beige and caramel. The result is a richly textured weave that feels elevated and enduring.
All styles are also available in round formats. RRPs range from $249 to $1,899.
