The food grade steel canisters are designed to store tea, with a PET plastic inner lid to keep the contents fresh. The lid and the canisters are fully recyclable, but you’re more likely to keep using them for years on end. The mulberry tree paper used to create the beautiful washi papers is extremely hard wearing. Although obviously you can’t wash the canisters in water, they can be wiped with a damp cloth and stand up well to everyday use in the kitchen.
Not a tea drinker? You needn’t despair that you have no need for a beautiful tea canister. The small flat tins are often bought as jewellery tins or for storing all your bits and bobs, pins and paper clips.
