Aptly named after the Roman Goddess of the sun, the Sol collection is inspired by Roman architecture.
Sol is a break from Capra Designs’ previous works, which concentrated heavily on motif, and a step towards architectural design.
The collection is designed collaboratively by Capra Designs ocwner, Bianca Lambert and Capra Designs staff member and architectural graduate, Juliette Gambert.
The collection features six new designs all of which include Capra Designs signature seamless water trays. Terrazzo has been used sparingly throughout the designs adding an eco-friendly twist to the collection.
“While visiting my manufacturer I noticed a pile of broken ceramic pots in their yard and knew we had to find a way to turn this unfortunate waste into product,” says Lambert.
“We are now using these broken ceramic pots to create the earthy terrazzo in the Sol collection.”
