Having first opened back in 2005 in the inner city of Melbourne, Melko has been the first stop for South American fashion. Having a close relationship with talented designers overseas, Melko strives to bring the highest quality of unique garments and accessories from their principal suppliers in Brazil, Chile, Argentina and Peru to the shores of Australia.
Melko was established in 2004 by a Brazilian-Australian duo that saw a gap in the market for fresh designs and prints in Australian fashion. Wanting to stray away from fast fashion, this duo supports smaller labels and strives to stimulate the Australian economy as well as many overseas economies.
Melko continues to grow and has gone to outstanding changes to become more ethical and relevant in the new age of local and international artistry in the fashion industry. All of its collections offer a genuine representation of South American flair in addition to being high quality and fun.
