Victorinox Travel Gear introduces a premium, lightweight collection of hybrid travel bags, including its lightest cabin case ever.
Engineered for active travellers, its secret is unstructured design coupled with highly durable materials.
The resulting flexible and trusty carriers suit just about any situation, be it a weekend break or a long-haul business trip. From carry-ons and checked luggage to duffels and backpacks, each piece is available in the distinctive colours of anthracite and dark teal.
“We focus on helping our customers to travel smartly, easily and confidently,” says Carsten Kulcke, CEO of Victorinox Travel Gear. “The Vx Touring collection is a testimony to this. Our design teams have come up with ultra-light materials which go way beyond standard durability testing, as well as highly practical strategic packing features. What’s more, the collection breaks a record in the history of Victorinox Travel Gear.”
Indeed, the Vx Touring wheeled global carry-on is the lightest carry-on case across all Victorinox travel gear collections, weighing just 2.35kg. And the Vx Touring wheeled 2-in-1 carry-on, which cleverly converts from a backpack to a wheeled duffel, weighs only a little more at 2.74kg.
Of course, traveller convenience begins with packing. This is made simple thanks to unstructured design and some very special and specific features.
The compression straps―made from ultra-strong hypalon―condense the bag’s contents, whilst strategically placed pockets on the back of the wheeled duffels ensure quick access to key belongings and provide ideal storage for shoes or wet items. The monopole handle―made of aircraft-grade aluminium―locks into three different positions and creates additional packing space.
These ultra-practical features are rounded off by a removable attach-a-bag strap, lockable zippers, an ergonomic comfort-grip handle, rear skid plates and zippered expansion.
Retail prices range from $369 to $799.
