Reed Gift Fairs, Tchibo and Magnolia Solutions launch Pitchfest
Reed Gift Fairs, Tchibo Germany and Magnolia Solutions have partnered to launch Tchibo Innovation Pitchfest. The initiative gives manufacturers the opportunity to showcase their products to an international audience.
Reed Gift Fairs and Life Instyle exhibitors are invited to submit their products to win a manufacturing support package and exposure to Tchibo’s buying team. The winner’s product will be stocked in Tchibo stores in Germany, Turkey and northern Europe.
“We are delighted to be partnering with Tchibo to launch the first ever Tchibo Pitchfest,” says Reed Exhibitions group director retail, Sally de Swart. “The opportunity to facilitate this event and connect a well-respected global retailer and manufacturer with innovative Australian wholesalers is a showcase of our commitment to retail development. We look forward to wholesalers embracing this new initiative.”
After visiting Reed Gift Fairs Melbourne 2014, Tchibo director of creative sourcing and cooperation, Bastian Grafe, says Australia is an untapped resource for product innovation and design.
“The initiative provides a platform for Australian businesses and creatives to collaborate and launch internationally,” he explains. “We look forward to sharing our expertise and experience the new product and concept ideas at the first ever Innovation Pitchfest in Sydney, Australia.”
Pitchfest is an exciting initiative to help support Australian businesses and expose them to the international marketplace, adds Nancy Georges, The Retail Miss Fix-it, Magnolia Solutions.
“No matter how innovative and strategic we are in Australia, our market and population remains limited. International markets exposure ensures local success and longevity.”
Exhibitors are invited to submit their design, concept or product by 16 January 2015. Shortlisted businesses will be announced in January 2015 and be invited to participate in qualifying pitch rounds.
