Trend alert: homewares 2023
Like many homewares companies, Luxo Living experienced a boom during the pandemic with consumers focusing on making their home their sanctuary. From 2019 to 2020, Luxo Living saw 70 per cent revenue growth.
As we are returning to normal life and spending less time in our homes, Luxo Living founder, Winston Tu, shares which homewares items are in demand right now.
1 Round and curvy furniture
“Curvy, round furniture really saw a peak in 2022 and continued the trend into 2023. It adds a soft and comforting dynamic in the home that people are still really craving.”
2 Boucle textiles
“Online demand for boucle hasn’t stopped since it became popular in 2021. This year, however, we’re seeing it show up in unexpected ways like bar stools.”
3 Elevated farmhouse
“Elevated farmhouse interiors are on the rise with people snapping up timber statement pieces like outdoor bench dining sets.”
4 Barbiecore
“Barbiemania took over the world this year, with pink dominating fashion and interiors. We saw more subtle pink accents as the more popular choice in furniture.”
