Homewares importer and wholesaler OneWorld Collection has jumped onto the celebrity designer bandwagon with not one but two high profile collaborations.
To be launched at Reed Gift Fair this weekend, the Organic Lighting Collection by Shaynna Blaze and Transterior by Jamie Durie add a new dimension to the OneWorld range, says Greg Ollerhead, managing director at OneWorld Collection.
“Shaynna is contemporary and Jamie Durie is mid-century,” he explains. “Having said that both collections enjoy the high end and finished qualities that are OneWorld.”
Blaze’s launch collection is exclusively lighting―pendants, table lamps and an extraordinary chandelier. Durie’s collection features home furnishing/accessories, minimal furniture and lighting.
Ollerhead says the company was approached by Blaze and Durie’s management team to bring their designs to life.
“We wanted to work with Shaynna because we believe in her design ethos and that she would add a more contemporary feel to our existing range. Our desire to work with Jamie was driven by his idea of ‘transterior’ space and his international profile as we were preparing to launch in US as well.”
Organic Lighting Collection by Shaynna Blaze will hit stores this month and Transterior by Jamie Durie will be available late August/early September. Both collections have already created quite a buzz overseas and locally.
“The Shaynna Blaze range has been extremely well received in the US and in pre-show offerings. Jamie Durie has had significant interest from several high profile US retailers as well as several major Australian retailers.
“We are extremely excited to highlight both collections this August at the Melbourne Fair,” Ollerhead adds.
