The team behind popular homewares brand Zakkia has launched Norr:Design, introducing Australian and New Zealand retailers and consumers to designers from the northern hemisphere.
Norr:Design’s mission is to share high quality, distinctive brands with lifestyle, homewares, furniture and design stores.
Currently the distributor represents Danish furniture and accessories brand Kristina Dam Studio, Verso Design from Finland, and Israeli textile designer Mika Barr.
“We will continue to design and release our [Zakkia] homewares collections, but after meeting Kristina late last year we knew we had to share her designs with Australia so our new venture, Norr:Design, was launched to represent northern hemispheric brands in our home market,” explains Emma Williamson, Norr:Design and Zakkia PR.
Launched at Life Instyle Sydney last month, the Kristina Dam Studio range merges art and interiors with products across illustration, photography, sculptures and furniture. The items have a modern aesthetic in a variety of textures including European oak, brass, marble and coated steel.
The products will be available in May.
