Wholesaler Axis Toys has been appointed the Australian distributor of New Zealand newborn gift range, Little + Sleepy.
Perfect for parents-to-be, the collection has been designed by New Zealand illustrator and author Kat Mereweather to be used in the first days and weeks of a newborn’s life.
It includes the Sleepy Koala and Sleepy Kiwi books, which are beautifully illustrated in bold black and white patterns to keep the attention of little eyes; a koala and kiwi cushion babies can use as a comforter to help them sleep; and a sleep journal to keep track of the little one’s routines, as well as practical sleep tips and motivational messages.
Paula Opfer, Axis Toys managing director, says the team discovered the range at Life Instyle Sydney in February where Little + Sleepy was testing the Australian market.
“We felt the range was a perfect complement to our current brand offering and that there would be some great synergies for us to complement each other’s offering with key retailers,” explains Opfer.
“[Little + Sleepy] complements the baby gift choices from our Goldfish and Wooden Story ranges.”
The Sleepy Koala book is in stock now with the rest of the range available from the end of May, and Opfer says the collection is already taking off in Australia.
“The reaction so far has been extremely positive with a good take up of the range already across the toy and gift markets, because it offers a great first baby gift that not only looks lovely but is also very practical,” Opfer adds.
