Fire extinguishers become décor item with Nordic Flame’s latest collection
When you think about fire extinguishers you wouldn’t normally associate them with home décor, unless you have seen the latest ones by Nordic Flame, which were on display at Ambiente 2023.
Traditionally red of colour and usually tucked away somewhere in a closet, the Swedish brand’s new series of fire extinguishers and fire blankets is designed with a stylish home environment in mind and is all about modern fire safety, says Pierre Maielli, international sales and marketing manager at Nordic Flame.
“The products are made to be exposed and therefore more accessible should an emergency arise,” he explains.
“Having a fire extinguisher or fire blanket within close reach allows one to engage a fire in its earliest stage, thus preventing serious fire damage.”
Instead of the traditional red colour, Nordic Flame’s products come in matte black and gloss white as well as polished stainless steel with aluminium, brass and leather features and are manufactured to the highest safety and quality standards.
Matching the fire extinguishers is an exclusive range of fire blankets. They come presented in a stylish aluminium box and later this year the brand will also introduce a fire blanket with a luxury leather pouch with engraved logo.
Feedback at the fair has been phenomenal says Maielli, as the brand is looking forward to expand into other markets as well as add more lines to its portfolio.
“We are extremely happy with the gradual introduction of our products into many markets and are currently planning to enter the US market later this year. The great interest in timeless Scandinavian design and quality gives us a lot of momentum.”
Indeed, continuing on with the theme of ‘fire’, the brand is also introducing updated designs by Swedish designer Johan Strom of its matchbox covers and boxes as well as candle holders.
All Nordic Flame products come in elegant packaging with easy to follow instructions, making them an essential and stylish gift, adds Maielli.
“Everybody needs a fire safety product so why not one that looks beautiful?”
