Hip hip hooray, it’s Giftguide’s birthday this year as the magazine turns 50 and what a ride it has been. Giftguide started out in 1975 with the directory issue, which is still published in print to this day and has evolved into a leading independent brand―magazine, website, digital magazines and social media―servicing the gift and homewares market in Australia.
To celebrate this huge milestone we have picked some of Giftguide’s best, most interesting and sometimes quirky covers over the last half century. We have also found some (fun) facts and trends that impacted the gift industry and Giftguide over the past 50 years. You can read more on page 12.

This edition also features some great profiles including Donaldson Enterprises and Enjoy Living celebrating anniversaries. We catch up with Nina Hearne of Hearth Co who started her retail journey online and is about to open her second brick and mortar store in Sydney’s Eastern suburbs. Read more in our clothing & accessories feature.
A shift in mindset has made men’s gifting a rapidly growing and evolving market. In our Father’s Day feature we chat to Sheldon Mayer who launched Men’s Republic in 2018 and is gearing up to expand his brand into the UK and US markets.

With an interior design background and a love of minimalism, Rai & Co seemed like the perfect fit for owner Prue Ireland, who acquired the label. In kids corner we chat more about how the baby and children’s clothing label has become a go-to for parents seeking stylish, ethical and ultra-practical pieces for their little ones.
Lisa Pollock and her name-sake business have gone from strength to strength, recently adding DWBH and Cereria Molla Australia to her portfolio. In our outdoor & pet feature we chat more about her journey and how the brand is going for gold at the Olympics in 2032.

Once again we have compiled all the data for the suppliers directory section, listing hundreds of suppliers, providing retailers with an invaluable resource and reference tool you can use all year round.
