AGHA teams up with the Australasian Furnishing Association
In a great scoop for the industry, the Australian Gift and Homewares Association (AGHA) has partnered with the Australasian Furnishing Association (AFA).
The collaboration means both peak industry bodies can offer their members more opportunities and wider access to specific target markets, which is good news for businesses looking to expand their reach.
Starting this month, the AGHA and AFA will launch new events Australia wide as well as make improvements to other existing events. AGHA CEO, Wayne Castle, is excited about the partnership, saying it will add a new dimension and content to the gift fairs.
“The members of both associations will benefit from the sharing of resources and the extended international promotional opportunities created by the new partnership,” he says.
Indeed, the sharing of resources and capabilities is something AFA CEO Patrizia Torelli thinks could also be rolled out across many other likeminded industry associations in the near future.
“We’re proud to be partnering with AGHA and sharing their extensive in-house event management capabilities and networks to complement those of our association,” she says.
“Between us we will launch some of Australia’s most exciting events and reboot some old favourites including the relaunch of the iconic Furnitex.”
One of the first events to undergo a makeover is the Australasian Hospitality Industry Exhibition and Conference, which will be relaunched in March next year.
Also, don’t miss the AGHA Sydney Gift Fair, which starts from 24 February at Sydney Olympic Park.
