Aromababy founder introduces new skincare brand
Having been part of the industry since 1994, it is no surprise that Catherine Cervasio was approached recently to develop a new Australian skincare brand.
The founder of Aromababy is passionate about health and wellbeing, particularly for mother and baby, and has been successfully exporting her products to countries such as Hong Kong and China for many years.
“Aromababy has been my ‘baby’ for 24 years―my sons are now 18 and 24, so it’s time for a new project,” she says.
“GL Natural Beauty brings together over 25 years of expertise in science and natural beauty. The focus is on Australian and specifically Victorian grown ingredients including Japanese green tea. We have already participated in successful, soft launches in Thailand and China with fantastic feedback.
“It’s a perfect companion brand to sit alongside Aromababy.”
Putting her business experience to good use, Cervasio also runs workshops with both health professionals and parents, which she says brings a huge amount of personal satisfaction to her work.
“I’m in Hong Kong and China regularly offering educational sessions around natural and organic ingredients, the power of ‘touch’ through baby massage and general wellbeing for women throughout pregnancy. This allows me to connect personally with midwives and mothers. The feedback is always so positive―I feel like I am making a difference in my own, small way.”
She is expanding these workshops to Shanghai, Beijing, Melbourne and Sydney twice a year, supporting mothers who are looking to learn more about natural ingredients and organic care.
As if that doesn’t keep her busy enough, she is also co-host of a morning radio show in Melbourne called The Stockman’s Breakfast on SEN+.
“I really love sharing information and helping to empower others to begin, grow or sustain businesses. Joining a radio show allows me to cover Melbourne business events and showcase some super talented, Australian business owners.”
