Ashdene launches Madame Butterfly brand
Homewares design and manufacturing company, Ashdene, hopes to open up to a wider customer base with the launch of Madame Butterfly, an on trend, high fashion range of mugs and kitchen textiles.
Previously Ashdene has focused its product development on traditional markets but it has been working for the past two years on products to diversify its reach.
“Madame Butterfly is aimed at the female market 18 plus and the young at heart,” explains Lynne Bertalli, Ashdene marketing and procurement manager. “It is designed for those girls and women who love new fashion trends and love to have the latest in trend designing.
“The explosion of cooking programs on television has created a desire for women to dress up in the kitchen with sassy kitchen textiles with coordinated ceramics. They also make wonderful gifts at a really affordable price.”
Products in the range include flare style mugs in four designs, cup, saucer and plate sets in two designs and pot holders, tea towels, oven gloves and aprons in four designs. The designs are tropical, retro floral, flamingo rose and oriental.
The new in house brand will be unveiled at the Sydney Home & Giving Fair next month but will also feature at Ambiente in Frankfurt, the International Home and Housewares Show in Chicago and the AKL Gift Fair in New Zealand.
“We are expecting to have a great reaction to the new brand as this is a completely fresh look for Ashdene,” Bertalli adds. “The designing is right on trend and we believe that this will capture the imagination of our retailer. Stock will be available for early April delivery.”
