Children can now inhabit the world of adorable bunny character, Ruby Red Shoes, created by Australian author and illustrator Kate Knapp.
Knapp was invited to create an exclusive range of removable wall stickers and wallpapers for Melbourne-based The Wall Sticker Company, turning her beautiful stories and illustrations into life-sized artworks.
The collection came after demand from readers, and as parents put more emphasis on styling children’s rooms and nurseries. “Ruby has such a loyal fan base that has made many requests for wallpapers and prints to decorate bedrooms and playrooms, so working on this range with The Wall Sticker Company is a perfect fit,” says Knapp.
Jenny Menz, director of The Wall Sticker Company, is also pleased with the collaboration. “We are always looking for designs that inspire children’s imagination, but wall décor that follows along with a story is simply magic.”
Customers are increasingly drawn to removable wall decals and murals as they are a great way to decorate—adding instant impact while being easily moved and changed—and more businesses are offering these decorating products. Children can be a part of Ruby’s world with 10 designs to choose from, including two wall sized murals of a Paris street and Monsieur Galushka’s hat shop, featured in Knapp’s stories. “It feels like you could just walk up the steps and into the shop,” she says.
