In our trends report we delve into the world of high profile designer collaborations with mass retailers. Target in the US kicked off this extremely popular practice when it released a line of Mossimo branded clothing in 2000. Other retailers followed suit such as H&M which released a range from fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld in 2004 and last year Collette Dinnigan launched a children’s range for Aldi in Australia.
This issue we also look at different trends that will be hitting our shores this year. We have our first trend report with Press Loft, which explores the use of materials like raw concrete, stone and wood. We also spoke to Chloe Brookman from Olli Ella who tells us what to look out for in her summer 2016 home décor trends forecast. Plus we had a chat to TV presenter, decorator and designer, Tara Dennis, about incorporating trends into your business strategies as she shares her top tips to make the most out of what you have and how to train your creative eye.
Don’t miss our behind the scenes feature on a Habitat101 photo shoot, where the team took us through the process of creating lifestyle images and how to get the best result for your brand. We also had a chat to the women behind Urbaani Homewares about how they got to be so successful in such a short time and we profile German brand Remember which is celebrating 20 years in the industry.
Once again we have our category reviews where we take an in-depth look at baby & child; fashion, accessories & jewellery, and lamps & lighting. We have also selected the best products for your stores, which you can find in our regular sections, with our seasonal selection this issue being Mother’s Day.
