Gifting brand LVLY launches LVLY loves
Bespoke gift delivery business, LVLY, has introduced a new concept called LVLY loves, a tightly curated edit of LVLY’s favourite Australian brands.
LVLY loves is about Australian businesses coming together, says Hannah Spilva, LVLY CEO and co-founder.
“LVLY loves was created from a desire to provide our customers with the best of the best gifting options, all in one place and with fast delivery options―our seven day, same-day delivery in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Adelaide means we have one of the strongest gift delivery propositions in Australia,” she says.
The product range is a tightly curated edit of local Australian brands featuring the best products in each category including men’s gifting, beauty, self-love and care, baby, craft beer, gin, cocktails and much more. Brands already on-board include Gintonica, Monista Tea Co, Cocktail Porter, BOPO Women, the memo, Stellar Gifting, Happy Collective and Mabu Mabu.
Mabu Mabu is a Torres Strait owned and run business on a mission to put Indigenous ingredients in kitchens across Australia. BOPO Women believes women’s empowerment starts with an internal self-love revolution, using natural 100 per cent vegan and cruelty free products.
Gintonica’s vision is to be the central resource for everything gin, from botanicals to recipes, pairings to makers and everything in between. Stellar Gifting, currently a one-woman show with amazing potential, and is all about gifting high-quality beauty products and accessories that stand the test of time. Cocktail Porter is Australia’s first premium online cocktail service and the memo is a feel good parenting and baby site to help make big decisions, easy.
“We like to think of these brands as our kindred spirits, passionate makers and creators with a shared commitment to spread joy and make people’s day. The LVLY loves initiative is all about small Australian businesses coming together to lift each other up, it’s never been more important to support our fellow business community.
“LVLY’s sole purpose is to make people’s days and our own philosophy is to be ‘lovely to people, lovely to Australia and lovely to the planet’. When choosing brands we remain steadfast to this philosophy and always make sure there’s a true alignment of values. That’s the first checkpoint. The next is relevancy to our customers―if the product’s not relevant we’re not adding value,” Spilva adds.
While supporting local has been gaining traction all over Australia since the pandemic hit last year, for LVLY it is part of its business DNA.
“From the moment we launched the business we’ve collaborated with other up and coming Australian brands. We love nothing more than discovering new homegrown talent. Our first ever collab was with Shortstop donuts in 2015, since then we’ve racked up over 50 collaborations with local businesses of all shapes and sizes.
“In 2019 we made a commitment to pivot our flower supply chain towards local, Australian flower growers. Most people don’t realise that around 40 per cent of flowers sold in Australia are imported from overseas. Flowers are flown in from all over the world, in transit for up to a week, which not only creates a huge carbon footprint but also means nasty pesticides at border control and a reduced shelf life. Our Paddock To Posy promise means more support for Aussie flower farmers, longer-lasting flowers for our customers and better outcomes for our planet,” she says.
“It has been rewarding to build an eco-system where our success has been a key factor in keeping the doors open for some of our suppliers during Covid.”
With the busy Christmas season coming up and online shopping booming, Spilva is expecting big things at LVLY in the months ahead.
“We’ll be bringing some beautiful seasonal products into the range as well as working on bespoke gifting ideas for some of our corporate clients. People love to send a festive tipple but we’re also seeing a big trend towards low alcohol and zero alcohol products so that will be a focus for us. You can also expect to see some new brands joining the LVLY loves family just in time for the holidays.”
