Sustainability focused Italian brand Essent’ial has signed Heaven in Earth as its exclusive Australian distributor.
The company was picked up for local distribution because of its design-sense, eco-friendliness and Italian heritage.
“We first saw Essent’ial at the recent Maison&Objet show and had a long chat with them about their history – I am always attracted to stands that are in muted tones,” says Jocelyn van Hoven, Heaven in Earth, creative director. “I subsequently saw their clips in a wonderful bulk display at the iconic retail store Merci in Paris. Its strong utilitarian base really struck a chord with me. I am always on the hunt for useful and beautiful items.”
Heaven in Earth will launch Essent’ial with it stainless steel clips and cake dome.
“Heaven in Earth is all about useful is beautiful. The majority of our products fill a purpose, and it fills a purpose with style. These clips and paper items do that to a tee. We intend to increase their unique paper homewares concentrating on items not seen here [such as] laundry bags, money boxes, chairs.”
Retailers have so far responded positively to the new brand but Heaven in Earth won’t know how successful it will be until its debut at Life Instyle Melbourne this August.
