Home & Giving Fair to expand fashion zone
The Australian Gift and Homewares Association (AGHA)’s August Home & Giving Fair will be bigger than ever this year with the addition of a new 2,200 square metre custom-built pavilion at Melbourne Showgrounds.
A new pavilion was necessary due to demand for extra exhibition space, with over 90 new fashion exhibitors expected to join the fair. Nigel Kirby, president of the AGHA says the association intends to incorporate a new fashion zone into the Home & Giving Fair this year and at all future fairs, as it is becoming an increasingly important category.
“The development of the Home & Giving and Fashion Fair is to support the ever growing fashion category,” he says. “The fashion category has always been there, but it is growing steadily as retailers are becoming more diverse and are providing their customers with a product mix that creates a whole lifestyle story.”
The additional pavilion will be almost three times the size of smaller structures that have been built in the past and will be constructed as a seamless extension to the existing Exhibition Pavilion.
Home & Giving and Fashion Fair will run from 1 to 5 August 2015 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and Melbourne Showgrounds.
