Illustrator Megan Hess, Hallmark and Disney partner for new range
In an industry first, Hallmark and Disney have collaborated with Australian illustrator Megan Hess on a collection of premium greeting cards.
The 36 hand-drawn designs are inspired by fashion shows and couture ateliers from around the world and Hallmark Australia managing director Estherina Daniel says the iconic illustrations are a perfect match for the card brand.
“Through continuous innovation and trend forecasting, Hallmark delivers inspiring cards that offer a modern take on art and design to create cards for all occasions,” Daniel says.
“In this exclusive partnership, we combined Hallmark’s expertise in meaningful connections with Megan Hess’ unique, bold and modern aesthetic to create a gorgeous, timeless collection.”
Expected to be particularly popular with fashion-driven consumers, the range includes birthday cards adorned with illustrations from Hess’ stories The Peonies and Black Lace, as well as cards embellished with designer bags, fun quotes and illustrations of famous fashion destinations around the world such as New York City, Paris and Sydney.
The high-end designs are complemented by some of Hess’ most popular Instagram illustration posts such as the Coffee Girls and the beloved French Bulldog.
“Hallmark and Disney are two partners that I’ve always dreamed of working with and it has been a wonderful journey seeing the collection come to life,” she says.
“I hope the range can bring a touch of glamour to those special messages we share with loved ones throughout the year.”
Adding a bit of extra magic and sparkle to our lives, Hess has also created a princess inspired card range with nine cards featuring Disney princesses Cinderella, Belle and Aurora.
The collection is available now.
