Let’s get the party started and raise $1 million
Aiming to reach a total of $1 million, Lorraine Lea’s annual Party for Kids with Cancer campaign is returning for another year to raise money for long-term charity partner Camp Quality Australia.
The linen and soft furnishings business has been organising fundraising parties since 2013 and so far has raised more than $875,000 for the children’s cancer organisation.
Kicking off from 1 June, more than 1,400 independent stylists and hundreds of dedicated party hosts nationwide will participate with all monies raised going towards funding Camp Quality’s innovative programs and services.
Lorraine Lea CEO Anne Petracca encourages all Australians to get involved and gather friends and family for a home styling party.
“Our Party for Kids with Cancer appeal is a fantastic initiative that inspires great community participation and spirit while raising awareness and much-needed funds for Camp Quality,” she says.
“We want to see as many fundraising parties as possible being held around the country in June to help us reach $1 million in donations for the children―no matter how big or small the party is, every bit helps.”
The effort is very much appreciated by Camp Quality and CEO Kylea Tink says she is thrilled to be partnering with Lorraine Lea again this year for the appeal.
“Since our partnership commenced five years ago with Lorraine Lea their contribution has been vital to supporting Camp Quality family camps,” she says.
“These unique camps provide an opportunity for our families to reconnect, meet others in similar situations to themselves and importantly to create fun, positive memories.”
“While many of us will take that sort of thing for granted, the reality is that this is often the first time our families will have had that sort of opportunity since their child was diagnosed,” Tink says
