LisaSarah releases second range in Australia
New Zealand design brand LisaSarah is continuing its push into the Australian market with the launch of its second collection Industry.
Inspired by the industrial décor trend, the range is made up of fun, quirky artwork that is suitable for both indoors and outdoors. In true LisaSarah style the pieces are made of steel but this time feature colour.
“I have spent a long time researching a way to add colour to my work, while maintaining a quality product that will withstand the outdoors,” says Lisa Turley, LisaSarah designer. “I have added high quality acrylic as tints behind some of my work to give that pop of colour.
“The modern industrial trend is reflected in the use of mild steel and stencil fonts. The work is designed to slowly corrode over time – although white vinegar will remove the rust. The range is completely personalised for the customer too as they get to choose from 11 colours to back the steel – creating their own personal look.”
Industry has done well across the ditch where the first batch sold out in two days. Turley is producing more pieces in time for Christmas.
She says this collection is edgier than her first which was more classic and clean in style while Industry is more “rock chick”.
According to Turley, LisaSarah products suit the Australian consumer because they are versatile enough to suit both indoors and outdoors as well as being exclusively designed and unique.
“Australia has been a tough market to crack,” she adds. “The competition is fierce and there is an abundance of high end, fabulous products on the market. My ‘edge’ has been continuing to produce a high end, non-mass produced product and maintaining exclusivity. My sales have continued to grow based on that. It’s not found everywhere and each piece is finished by hand.”
