Major toy retailer leaves Aussie shores
Global toy retailer, KidKraft, is closing down its Australian warehouse operations and is auctioning $800,000 worth of toys and furniture.
As part of the business’ restructure everything must go with bidding starting at just $1 (with no reserves) for ‘brand-new, still in the box’ products including swing sets, play kitchens, dollhouses and furniture.
“This is a one-off opportunity for Australians to grab KidKraft’s beloved products at prices you’d never see in stores,” auction house Lloyds chief operations officer, Lee Hames, says in a statement.
“All items are brand-new and perfect for last-minute Christmas gifts. There are more than 4,200 premium items going under the hammer, providing families the chance to own these products at a fraction of the retail price.”
KidKraft was founded 50 years ago in the US and filed for bankruptcy in May 2024.
The online auction starts on Saturday 21 December across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast and is a great opportunity for consumers to grab amazing deals for the festive season.
