Melbourne Design Market partners with Melbourne Citymission charity
the initiative will involve clients from the melbourne citymission’s youth enterprise project to collaborate on a design project and then sell the result at the market to raise funds.
participants will start with a screen printing workshop hosted by textile design and retail group spacecraft and produce t-shirts.
market manager elizabeth collins says the response has been fantastic.
“as the original design market we are now linked with the city’s oldest charity,” she says.
“it has been a move welcomed by our many stall holders who also feel that our combined creative energy can be channeled into projects to improve the lives of many in our community.”
