Nespresso airport pop up concept
In an Australian airport first, global coffee icon Nespresso will launch a pop up boutique at Sydney Airport’s T2 Domestic Terminal over the winter period.
Available for a limited time from 28 May, the pop up store is part of a new direction for the refreshed airport terminal that has been designed to create unique retail opportunities.
The conceptual hub will showcase a selection of coffee machines and products, and offer customers the opportunity to sample a range of 23 Nespresso Grand Crus blends. Coffee specialists will also be on hand to guide customers through the range, and the boutique will provide a capsule recycling point for existing customers.
Loïc Réthoré, Nespresso Australia and Oceania general manager, says the pop up is a way to introduce new customers to the brand by making it more accessible. “We receive great feedback from Club Members regarding their boutique experience.
“The new Nespresso pop up boutique will increase the accessibility of our coffee experience for people travelling via the airport.”
The boutique is also a way for the airport to improve its retail offering and provide excellent customer service. “One thing our customers expect from their airport experience is a choice of quality coffee options,” says Glyn Williams, Sydney Airport general manager, retail.
“We have exceptional coffee retailers at both T1 and T2 and we’re excited to partner with a respected coffee brand like Nespresso for the winter period.”
The pop up boutique will be located in Sydney Airport’s T2 Departures opposite Country Road until August 2015.
