Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm to open in Brisbane
Global retailer Williams-Sonoma is adding to its Australian portfolio with the launch of three stores in Brisbane’s shopping hub, Fortitude Valley.
The opening of Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm in one of Australia’s fastest-growing cities is part of Williams-Sonoma’s continuing global expansion, says global vice president Ron Young.
“Brisbane is recognised globally for its unique sophistication and style… At the heart of our brands is unique design, exceptional customer service, and a calendar of in-store experiences for our customers,” he explains.
The stores will employ about 90 staff and sit side-by-side at street level covering 2,310 square metres of retail space.
A line-up of local, creative collaborations will coincide with the stores’ opening day celebrations on 1 October and guest host Kara Rosenlund says she is thrilled Williams-Sonoma has chosen Brisbane for its new stores.
“This will give Brisbane the chance to shop and experience retail and dedicated service on another level, something we haven’t had the opportunity to be engaged in before now,” says the locally-based photographer and stylist. “It is a very exciting time to be shopping in Brisbane.”
Williams-Sonoma currently has Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm stores in Bondi Junction and Chatswood (NSW), Chadstone (VIC), and Perth (WA). The Bondi Junction, Chatswood and Chadstone locations are also home to Williams-Sonoma stores, including a dedicated Williams-Sonoma Cooking School in Bondi Junction. Further, there is a standalone West Elm store in South Yarra (VIC), plus a multi-brand outlet in Fyshwick (ACT).
