Bruntwood Lane is the manufacturer of premium, unique skincare products with an emphasis on using locally produced, sustainable ingredients with skin-beneficial properties.

The company was founded as a result of CEO Brandon Vickers’ battle with eczema and struggle to find products that didn’t irritate his skin further. The result was a thoroughly researched, sustainably produced soap bar made from all natural ingredients, encased in a wool sheath that acts as a gentle exfoliant.

Bruntwood Lane’s flagship product eco felted soap is made from its own unique, certified sustainable coconut and olive base blend.

This soap is triple milled, resulting in a homogenous soap bar that is dense and free from air bubbles, meaning it lasts longer than other soaps. It is pH balanced and specifically designed for sensitive skin, containing no added colours or fragrances.

The skin-beneficial ingredients such as colloidal oatmeal, UMF rated Manuka honey and sea salt are backed by scientific evidence.

The felt casing is made using Corriedale wool from New Zealand, which is gently abrasive and is excellent for felting. Its coarseness makes it a better exfoliant than Merino wool. It also contains lanolin, which has natural anti-fungal and anti-microbial properties. Lanolin is what keeps the sheep’s skin healthy.

The bars are biodegradable and the wool casing that remains once the soap is used is compostable. Felted soap bars last longer than naked soap―eco felted soap will last four to six weeks with daily use.

A later addition to the range, Bruntwood Lane’s  felted soaps are produced exactly the same way, but contain essential oil to provide a subtle fragrance and natural colouring in the wool casing.
