Stationery brand celebrates new range with happiness project
kikki.k will inspire its fans to live a more joyful life using social media and the 14 days of happiness project to coincide with the release of its new happy collection.
the swedish design brand created the initiative in response to challenging economic times. it is hoped the project will encourage people to be happy more often.
facebook, twitter, instagram and the kikki.k blog will feature daily prompts from september 5 to show customers small ways they can inject some positivity into their lives.
“for me, happiness is choosing a career that i’m excited and happy to drive to work for on a monday morning,” says kristina karlsson, kikki.k founder. “it’s also celebrating the little things in life – like writing a handwritten letter to a friend or having fresh flowers on my desk.
“with a daily reminder, we hope to inspire other people to find more happiness every day in simple things just like this – and we’ve set ourselves a goal of creating one million happy moments. that’s about 70,000 a day over the 14 days.”
it’s not the first time kikki.k has used social media to enhance its connection with customers. since the beginning of this year, the brand has encouraged its fans to journal via prompts on its blog.
“each day, we’ve provided people with a thought-provoking question, or simple idea to inspire them to journal. i’ve had people tell me how much it’s inspired them to do it themselves, and we’ve seen this same response from our fans on social media.
“since january, we’ve had over half a million interactions with the prompts via our social media pages. that’s a big number and it feels great to create that sort of social movement – which adds value to people’s lives in some way,” she explains.
the happy collection includes stamps, adhesive notes, pens, and notebooks. it will be available for purchase september 5, which is also the first day of the 14 days of happiness project.
