StyleRocks pioneers 3D printing and PayPal instalment plan
StyleRocks, an Australian customisable fine jewellery website, has announced two innovative developments that will enhance its customers’ online shopping experience.
In a first for the Australian jewellery sector, StyleRocks will use 3D printing to allow customers to test their item before ordering the real thing.
After designing their piece online, customers will be able to purchase a white polymer 3D model of the design for $29.95. This price is redeemable against the actual item, once the customer has established that the design and fit are exactly right.
“This helps minimise the risks around incorrect purchases for no extra cost to the customer, and provides a ‘try on at home’ service, bridging the online and offline worlds,” says StyleRocks founder Pascale Helyar-Moray. “Customers love the idea of being able to try before they buy.”
StyleRocks is also introducing a PayPal instalment scheme, allowing customers to pay for their jewellery over up to four monthly instalments.
“The reason we introduced these instalments is to help the customer with the value of their purchase,” says Helyar-Moray. “StyleRocks offers fine jewellery, made bespoke in Australia… Many people love the idea of made in Australia, but don’t like the associated price tag.”
With the PayPal scheme customers can determine the length of their plan, from two to four months. “However, in the reverse of a layby, you can access your beautiful jewellery earlier – as soon as two months of payments have passed,” explains Helyar-Moray. “It really is a case of jewels now, pay later.”
