Tait unveils new look showroom and online store
With business at an all-time high, furniture and accessories design company Tait decided it was time to give its showroom a well-deserved makeover.
DesignOffice was in charge of the new layout of the Fitzroy space, making sure the design enhanced the products on display. The flagship showroom was a significant milestone for Tait when introduced a few years ago, as it was the brand’s first retail space. Over the years, it has become an essential showcase for its furniture designs and homewares.
“Reflecting upon this, we realised it was time to revisit our store look and layout, to ensure our story remained strong and when you stepped into the store, it would feel welcoming and fun,” says Susan Tait, Tait’s creative director.
DesignOffice introduced a beautiful colour palette inspired by the Australian landscape – eucalyptus trees and big blue skies. This not only warms up the space but also makes the product pop, according to the studio.
In addition, DesignOffice introduced a range of practical finishes for the cement floor and a new floorplan to create the ultimate customer journey. The floorplan can also be adapted, allowing Tait to constantly update its product offering.
As well as the development of the in-store Tait experience, the brand has also introduced the next chapter of its digital experience with the launch of an extensive new online store.
Developed to offer a wide range of Tait’s most popular furniture and accessories, the online store offers users the ability to customise product through colour and upholstery detailing to create the perfect setting from the comfort of your home.
“What’s really exciting is that the online store means that it’s now a lot easier for interstate clients to see a comprehensive range of our furniture and accessories,” says Tait.
