Think Cup introduces its new Think Bottle range
After the major success of his cups, Chris Tourgelis is now launching Think Bottles, in line with the hydration trend that is currently sweeping the world.
Tourgelis says after visiting the Chicago fair last March he realised that there was an opportunity in Australia to introduce Think Bottles.
“After visiting the Chicago International Home + Housewares Show I noticed that the biggest trend was the hydration category,” he explains.
“It made me realise that water bottles are even more universal than glass coffee cups.”
Tourgelis, who only launched Think Cups late last year and is the owner of Opus Design store in Sydney, admits it wasn’t easy creating a quality product at the right price.
“There are some really great water bottles in the market and we wanted to design something from scratch which was beautiful and practical. When we saw the final samples we were obviously very relieved and thrilled.
“The biggest challenge is creating something like this so that it is the highest quality but still wanting to ensure that the RRP is right. Not easy!”
The biggest design feature is that it is a borosilicate glass bottle with a very unique silicon holder. The silicon sleeve has a beautiful texture and features a lovely wave design on the top edge. The bottle can hold 500ml and is available in four pastel colours. It retails for $39.95.
Opus Design is celebrating 50 years this year and while 2018 was a big year for Tourgelis including winning gia Australia and Retailer of the Year awards, 2019 will be even better, he says.
“I would like to see Think Cups expand in more countries around the world. As far as products go we will go deeper with the bottles and do more collaborations with our cup range. Opus celebrates its 50th anniversary this year so it’s all about keeping things exciting and fresh every year and 2019 will be our biggest year yet.”
