Vevoke launches charity Christmas card program
Card and gift wholesaler Vevoke hopes to give back to the community with the launch of its first charity Christmas card range, which has been 12 months in the making.
While there are many mass market charity card programs already on the market, Vevoke’s range is a premium collection for the boutique retail sector.
“We wanted to work with three charities which represented a broad cross section of Australian needs and issues, and charities which do a truly phenomenal job and really deserve a higher profile and greater public support,” explains Chris Dibley, managing partner, Vevoke.
The chosen charities are the RSPCA, Australian Breast Cancer Network and the Children’s Medical Research Unit. Ten per cent of the wholesale proceeds go to the charities, which Dibley says is much higher than the market leading charity card program.
“The design and production quality is superb and originates from one of our most popular premium card brands, Almanac. Unlike most other charity programs, each pack features two designs, not one, so consumers get more variety. The cards are packaged in a beautiful folded wallet, a high quality alternative to the cellophane packaging used by other companies. Finally, the pricing is competitive with the leading brands. Given all these features, it all adds up to incredible value for the retailers, consumers and of course, the charities.”
There are plans to expand the program if it proves successful this year as Dibley believes it has a lot of potential and that Vevoke has only just scratched the surface. “But we need to walk before we can run, so for now, we are just encouraging Australia’s leading retail stores to seize this great opportunity.”
